Alright, fellas, let's address the elephant in the yoga studio. Somewhere along the line, yoga got labeled as "hard" or, worse, "gay." And while we’re all about love, peace, and acceptance here at Toke N Flow, these outdated stereotypes need to go up in smoke—literally and figuratively.
First off, yoga isn’t "hard." Sure, there are styles where people twist into pretzels and hold handstands while reciting the Bhagavad Gita in Sanskrit, but that’s not us. Toke N Flow is about chill vibes, dope music, gentle stretches, and maybe a giggle or two when I drop a hilarious one liner on you. We keep it relaxed and accessible—no Cirque du Soleil stunts required in this cannabis enhanced yoga.
And as for the "gay" thing? Let’s unpack that nonsense. Yoga is for everyone—men, women, stoners, CEOs, your grumpy Uncle Bob who thinks stretching is a government conspiracy, and even my extremely religious sister who is convinced that it's a form of devil worship. (Spoiler alert- its not.... but maybe we will dive further into that on another blog post) There’s nothing inherently masculine or feminine about taking care of your body, relieving stress, or finding a little zen in your otherwise chaotic life. We all need it. Especially in today's society.

Here’s the kicker: Did you know some of the world’s toughest guys swear by yoga? NFL players, Navy SEALs, and pro wrestlers / fighters use it to improve flexibility, prevent injuries, and stay on top of their game. So, unless you think you’re tougher than a Navy SEAL, maybe it’s time to give it a shot.
Retired UFC fighter Shane Carwin has often shared insights into his post-fighting life, emphasizing the importance of maintaining both physical and mental wellness through a consistent yoga routine. This practice has become a cornerstone of his daily regimen, allowing him to achieve a sense of alignment between his body and mind, which is especially crucial given the toll that his athletic career has taken on him. Over the course of his life, Shane has endured an astonishing 17 major surgeries, with five of those being spinal procedures. Each of these surgeries has left its mark, resulting in a myriad of long-term effects that have significantly impacted his physical capabilities and overall well-being.
Despite these challenges, Shane has found that his commitment to yoga plays a pivotal role in managing the chronic pain that stems from his past injuries and surgical interventions. The gentle stretching and strengthening exercises inherent in yoga not only help alleviate discomfort but also promote better mobility and flexibility, which are essential for someone who has faced such extensive physical trauma. Through regular practice, he has learned to listen to his body, allowing him to navigate the complexities of pain management and recovery with greater ease. Furthermore, yoga serves as a powerful tool for releasing mental tension, providing him with a sanctuary for mindfulness and relaxation amidst the chaos of life.
In addition to his dedication to yoga, Shane has also incorporated a carefully prescribed blend of THC, CBD, and CBN into his nightly routine. This combination has proven beneficial in promoting restorative sleep, an essential component of recovery for anyone, particularly for someone with a history of physical strain and injury. By utilizing this blend, he is able to fall asleep more easily and experience deeper, more restorative rest, which in turn allows him to wake up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated each morning. This holistic approach to health—integrating physical practices like yoga with therapeutic substances—demonstrates Shane's commitment to finding balance and well-being in his life after professional fighting. Through his experiences, he serves as an inspiration to others who may be navigating similar challenges, highlighting the importance of self-care and the pursuit of a healthy lifestyle.

Now that we got that out of the way and can see that even the biggest, baddest of dudes practice yoga regularly, lets touch on a few more key points about what you'll find with us.
At Toke N Flow, we’ve designed our cannabis enhanced yoga classes for everybody and every body. It’s a judgment-free zone where you can:
